Everyone loves a good cup of gumbo, right? Well, at this mouth-watering festival, chefs come from all over to see once and for all who has the best gumbo. So come out and sample some gumbo from the best of the best and decide for yourself!

The annual Gumbo Gladiators is coming to Shreveport on Saturday, March 24th, 2018.

The Gumbo Gladiators Cook-Off is an annual fundraiser for Volunteers for Youth Justice

Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators/Facebook Established in 1981, Volunteers for Youth Justice is a volunteer-based non-profit organization with a mission to provide help for children and families in crisis.

Teams of gumbo gladiators from all over come together for one day to battle for the title of Ultimate Gumbo Gladiator.

Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators/Facebook The cook-off takes place from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Festival Plaza in Shreveport.

Attendance is free, and gumbo samples will be available

Gumbo Gladiators Cook-Off Be sure to sample them all so you can decide for yourself who is worthy of the title.

Awards will be given in multiple categories.

Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators/Facebook First place in seafood, chicken/sausage, and lagniappe will each receive $400, a plaque, team medals, and bragging rights.

There will also be a people’s choice category…
