While Portland’s International Rose Test Garden is often the star garden highlighted in media, the oldest garden is this beauty situated in the Piedmont neighborhood. Opened in 1909, the Peninsula Park Rose Garden was the home to the city’s annual rose show until 1917 when Washington Park’s infamous rose garden opened and overshadowed this magnificent garden.

Featuring a centerpiece fountain and historic gazebo, this garden is a sight to see.
