Despite the fact that we’re experiencing some warmer temps this week, there’s no denying that fall is on the way. The mornings and evenings are chillier and leaves are even beginning to turn in some areas. But, more important than anything else, apples are on the trees ready to be picked! You might want to wait until sweater weather to visit orchards, but if you do that you’ll miss the best crops. So, get there now. And, at this special place, you’ll even get a nice does of Maine history.

Around for more than 200 years, it’s operated by Manley Brackett, an eighth generation member of the family who is still growing apples, pumpkins and squash.
