Wing Haven Gardens & Bird Sanctuary actually stemmed from two neighbors who lived down the street from each other and both enjoyed gardening.

Both having a love of gardening, the Clarkson’s spent the next ten years planting and nurturing a residential garden that was built to attract all kinds of different birds in the area.Down the road, writer Elizabeth Lawrence also was growing her own phenomenal garden. Today, the two properties are joined together creating the most amazing secret garden in Charlotte.

There are also many Fall Symposium’s coming up on the schedule in which you can go hear a guest speaker discuss various topics — from horticulture to garden and floral design.
In addition to birds, you’ll find plenty of colorful and vibrant flowers when you visit the gardens.
