Less than a quarter of a mile from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, the Tavern is a beloved spot for historians and comfort food lovers alike.

Step inside and you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported back to the eighteenth century. Staff members, dressed in period attire, will gladly offer traditional midday fare.

The rustic restaurant setting is perfect for enjoying classic Southern favorites like fried chicken, homemade biscuits, beans, slaw, and of course, gravy to top all of it.
