Around Arizona, there are rumors that plenty of places around the state are haunted: restaurants, hotels, prisons, sometimes even entire towns! But you’ll find that the number of haunted places located underground is pretty low. In fact, we know of one that just happens to be 210 feet below the surface.

A step in any cave can feel a bit eerie, especially if it’s your very first time. The cool environment, small spaces, and endless darkness can induce a sense of claustrophobia in anyone.

There seems to be no one ghost with a name that roams the caverns, although the owners say visitors and employees have sighted unexplained shadows, voices, and even a brief body hanging from the cavern ceiling. They are thought to be miners and people from the Hualapai tribe.
