The website Thrillist.com recently released their list of best new restaurants in 2017, and Chik’n & Mi, in Louisville was on it! Read on to see why this little gem was awarded this distinction.

Chik’n & Mi is a fried chicken and ramen restaurant located at 2319 Brownsboro Road in Louisville. It opened in March 2017, and has been delighting diners ever since.

Owners Jason McCollum and Aenith Sananikone-McCollum renovated the inside of the restaurant themselves, even installing their own flooring.

The combination of industrial elements, warm wood accents, and plenty of thriving foliage give this space a sleek but comfortable vibe.

A sweet and tangy salad is a great way to start off your meal.

Chik’n & Mi/Facebook Choose from cherry ginger, miso sesame, or apple and pecan. Each is fresh and crunchy, with a blend of sweet and savory flavors.

You’ll also want to start with an order of tasty little steam buns.

Get it with sweet soy, Jeaw Bong or order it up x-tra hot. If you prefer a more traditional-tasting fried chicken, try it naked with a side of peppercorn ranch.
