Tucked away in Baker, on the east-central border of Nevada and Utah, is a delightfully new and rather remote Nevada restaurant that pays homage to the great Beat Generation novelist, poet, and iconoclast Jack Kerouac. Part of the Stargazer Inn, Kerouac’s serves truly unique and delicious food in a quaint setting with exceptional service. This quaint little place just opened in April of 2017, and owners Kate and Jack are among the friendliest people you will ever meet. Take a look:
Kerouac’s is located in Baker, an unincorporated community in White Pine County. Baker is located at the junction of State Routes 487 and 488 and serves as the gateway to Great Basin National Park.

Kerouac’s is part of the Stargazer Inn and is located at 115 S. Baker Avenue. The owners seek to pay homage to life on the American road, and it the perfect place to visit after visiting Great Basin National Park, driving along the loneliest road in America, or just exploring all that eastern Nevada has to offer.

There are also several artisan items such as the charcuterie board appetizer and artisan pizzas, for example. This Mediterranean frittata with roasted potatoes looks amazing.

Gluten-free and vegan options are also available. The owners are also extremely amenable to any dietary concerns and to other requests such as deconstructing a breakfast biscuit for a picky child.
