If you thought the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad couldn’t get any better, think again. They recently announced that on November 11th, they’ll be featuring a Mountain Moonshine train ride! Read on to learn more about this upcoming excursion that’s just as amazing as it sounds.
Western Maryland Scenic Railroad’s Mountain Moonshine train ride begins at Cumberland Station. Boarding will begin at 5:30pm and the train will depart at 6pm.

Like all of their excursions, the train will pass through scenic mountains and valleys, making for a gorgeous trip.

On the way, you’ll be treated to heavy appetizers and five samples of moonshine from Tall Pines Distillery.

Once you arrive at the Mountain View stop, get out and stay a while. Music and rousing games of cornhole will be provided…

…or simply sit by the campfire, staying cozy and warm during the cool autumn evening.

Board the train once again and you’ll be offered five MORE samples of moonshine. This time, the flavors will be even sweeter. I guess you could call it a liquid dessert of sorts.

The Mountain Moonshine train then arrives back at Cumberland at approximately 9pm. What a unique way to spend an evening among some of Maryland’s most gorgeous scenery.
