While most of Montana’s most beautiful trails are still covered in snow, it won’t be long (we promise) before the ground is green and the wildflowers are in bloom. And while you’ll see colorful flora on many of the Treasure State’s finest trails, there are a few hikes that are known mainly for their wildflowers. Sypes Canyon is one of them.

You’ll find Sypes Canyon north of Bozeman near the southern end of the Bridger Range.

The trail heads east through a grassy, fenced access and then enters a lush forest canopy into Sypes Canyon.

But quite frankly, the wildflowers are what makes this trail so special.
