Spring is right around the corner, and it’s time to dust off those hiking boots and hit the trail. Here’s an easy hike to get you started.
The Ed Zorinsky Recreation Area is located at 156th & F Streets in West Omaha.
Google The lake and park were named after Ed Zorinsky, who was a U.S. Senator representing Nebraska from 1976 to 1987.
Zorinsky Lake covers 255 acres and is a popular spot for fishing and boating.

The loop trail is 7.8 miles long, but it’s fairly flat and considered easy for most hikers.

Along the way, you’ll have plenty of lake views, and witness some of Nebraska’s most scenic natural beauty.
