The town of West Haven in Vermont has always been a small one by anyone’s standards. Today the population is only 264, and while roads have come a long way over the years, it’s still off the beaten path. So you can imagine how separate this area must have been over 200 years ago if someone in this little town which is almost completely surrounded by Lake Champlain needed help. Well, something happened that many years ago and there is a street named after the ghostly appearance that happened here. One night over 2 centuries ago a man got word that his wife was in labor. Childbirth was difficult in these days, especially if you were in a rural area.

He immediately stopped when he came upon a beautiful woman wearing white illuminated by the moonlight. He realized that the woman was his wife!

To this day, no other road in Vermont has been named after a paranormal occurrence.
