It’s hard to imagine Virginia without its gorgeous natural attractions. From the mountains to the shoreline, every region of our state offers something spectacular in the way of beautiful scenery. While there are plenty of obvious attractions, there are just as many hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. One such example is an area known as the Tye River Valley in Nelson County. Beloved by locals, this area is captivating for its scenery.

Crabtree Falls is another must-see attraction in the area. It’s here that you can hike alongside the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi.
