This time of year is the perfect hiking weather in Nevada. Unlike other areas in the country, hiking during the summer is just not ideal for us. If you’re looking for a sweet and simple hike that boasts some pretty stunning views, consider the Sandstone Canyon Loop in Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. The park, located near Vegas, is one of the most lush and beautiful landscapes you’ll find in Nevada. You’re sure to love this simply and family-friendly trail.
Spring Mountain Ranch State Park can be found off of Highway 159, approximately five miles north of Blue Mountain, Nevada.

Located inside this incredibly picturesque park is a scenic hiking trail that takes you to Sandstone Canyon. Access to the canyon is controlled by the park, and there is an entrance fee of $7. It’s a small price to pay for access to one of the most memorable hiking trails in Nevada.
