Everyone who lives in Rhode Island knows that Roger Williams Zoo is endlessly entertaining – whether you’re admiring the giraffes or attending a special event, each visit has its own excitement and charm. Now, visits to the zoo will also be a chance to get your adrenaline fix. The zoo just opened its new Soaring Eagle Zip Ride on September 1, and you absolutely won’t want to miss it!

Unlike most ziplines, this zip ride allows two passengers to sit side-by-side in comfortable seats. It’s just like sitting in a chair - except that you’re 115 feet above the ground!

From this vantage point, you’ll have incredible views over Providence and Narragansett Bay. It’ll be a view of the city that you’ve never experienced!

Best of all, the ride will be open during every night of the zoo’s annual Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, during which you’ll fly over a spectacular and spooky display of carved pumpkins, as well as all the city lights.

Yelp/Lana S. Since the ride just opened, there aren’t too many photos to share, but this video from youtube user Peter Phipps should give you a sense of just how epic this experience will be.

Tickets for the zip ride are $12 per person normally and $15 per person during the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. Note that you’ll need to purchase zoo admission as well, but who wouldn’t want the chance to visit the animals?
