Though the town of Sturgis is best known for its huge summer Motorcycle Rally, during winter months the town is peaceful and quiet with just under 7,000 residents.

Winter is a great time to visit this museum with its motorcycle exhibits. It’s open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pay your respects to our nation’s heroes at the Black Hills National Cemetery.

Grab a drink at the famous Loud American Roadhouse. In the winter, it’s a little less loud, but the drinks and pub food are still just as good.

Pay a visit to Bear Butte State Park. Take the Summit Trail, which is accessible during the winter and just 1.85 miles long.
