Mississippi is full of hidden gems. In fact, some of the state’s best sites require a bit of extra effort (and gas) to get to. And that’s exactly the case with the Indianola Pecan House. A bit off the beaten path, it’s been around for decades. And after one visit, you’ll quickly see why the old fashioned shop has remained a favorite throughout the years. Take a look:

Head to Indianola, and you’ll find about 12,000 citizens and the home of the “original praline pecan” — the Indianola Pecan House.

The edible assortment doesn’t end with pecans, though. Local favorites, like muscadine juice and jelly along with mayhaw jelly, fill the shelves.
