It is a popular belief that Black Friday is all about going to the shops to get their holiday shopping done at rock bottom prices. However, to many people the day after thanksgiving is much more than box store sales. It’s the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree on the Church Street Marketplace. This outdoor shopping area lights up to make a Christmas display in VT that brings holiday cheer to everyone.
Every year someone donates a giant Christmas Tree about 50 feet tall.
