There are some fantastic holiday lights events happening this season in the Palmetto State. Gathering everyone up in the same car and heading out to enjoy a festive evening can be a lot of fun, especially during the Christmas season. In addition to heading to your favorite attractions to see holiday lights, it’s also enjoyable to ride around and see the neighborhood lights. One famously popular display in the Upstate is still going strong, however, they’ve moved their display to a local church instead of in the usual spot (at their home). You’ll want to read on so you don’t head to the wrong address to see the mesmerizing Christmas display with more than 500,000 glitterling lights formerly known as Greenville Griswolds.
In 2011, the Greenville Griswolds’ Christmas lights display became one of the most talked about in the Upstate - and for good reason! Synchronized to holiday music and filled with delightful surprise effects, Greenville Griswolds has become an annual tradition for many families.

If that includes you and your family, then you probably already know that Greenville Griswold is now called “The Passion of the Lights,” and the whole attraction has been moved to the Edge Community Church in Greenville. But don’t despair… you’ll still find all the glittering lights and the magnificent displays you enjoyed at the old location. And if you haven’t discovered this magical lights display yet, then this is your year to make it happen.

The new location actually allows for more room for displays and better parking.

And best of all… it’s absolutely free. Even the hot cocoa is FREE! This may be the best (free) ticket of the whole season.

The lights are displayed nightly, Sun - Thurs 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Fri - Sat 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. through December 31, 2017. On Saturday nights, they give out FREE 3D glasses. The lights are even more fantastic in 3D!
