It’s officially October, which means it’s time to commence the Halloween festivities. Texas is absolutely full of spooky attractions, but one rises above all the rest. Beaumont’s Haunted Hotel has been voted the scariest place of its kind in the entire state, and for good reason. You’ll be frightened out of your mind in the best way possible and leave with the spirit of the holiday engulfing you — if you ever get to check out, that is.
The Haunted Hotel has been around since 1983 but was forced to move to a different location in 2003 due to the condition of the building. In 2015, the attraction was moved back to Downtown Beaumont in a building that shares a wall with the original.

According to HauntWorld Magazine, the Haunted Hotel is the ninth scariest in the nation and first in the state — and that’s based on previous years. Nobody is prepared for the scares they have lined up this year.

There’s a new attraction called Rosehill Asylum, a 5,000 square-foot room of pure insanity. The patients and doctors are DYING to meet you… I’m sure they’ll keep you extremely safe.

A second floor has also been added to the regular hotel, which means you’re in for double the haunts, screams, and minutes of heart-pounding exhilaration.

Top-notch actors will be scattered throughout the building, hiding in the shadows as they prepare to jump out at you. Their only rule is that they can’t touch you, but they can come just short of it.

These guys look friendly, right? They’ll whisper sweet nothings in your ear as you make your way through their home; things like “I can smell your blood” and “You’re never getting out of here.”

And just when you think you’re in the clear, you’ll hear the whir of a chainsaw in a pitch-black, seemingly empty room. As soon as the sound registers, the run for your life is on.
