The arrival of spring is always welcome, even after a mild winter. There’s one way to tell without fail when spring has finally sprung in Utah – the appearance of the cherry blossoms at the Utah State Capitol.

The Yoshino cherry trees were a gift from the people of Japan to Utah, following World War II. To honor that token of friendship, the trees were planted in a place of great importance to the Beehive State - it’s Capitol.

Yoshino cherry trees bloom for just a short period of time, so you’ll want to visit the grounds of the Capitol soon, before they’re gone until next year.
