One such park is known as the Biopond, and it’s hidden near 38th Street on the University of Pennsylvania campus. If you’ve never stopped by, you really need to make a point to walk through the garden and check out the unique pond! It’s truly an oasis in the middle of a busy city, and it’s free to the public.

The Biopond was originally founded in 1897 by botany Professor Dr. John M. MacFarland as a botanical garden, but it has evolved into a true urban oasis over the years.
