If you’re up for it, you can get in on a spine-chilling ghost hunt headed up by Haunted Hotels of America. They’re coming to Cody to investigate the Irma Hotel over the course of an entire weekend, and you’re invited to go along. It’s an opportunity to experience one of Wyoming’s most haunted places and find out for yourself if the stories are true.

The Irma Hotel is considered to be a hotbed of ghostly activity, so it was a natural choice for an overnight ghost hunt.

The weekend will start with a Meet & Greet in the saloon Friday evening. Everyone will learn about the history of the Irma Hotel and its hauntings.

Back in the day, the Irma Hotel was a popular place for tourists and locals alike. Out of state visitors found it to be a luxurious, comfortable place to stay and it was a popular place for farmers, ranchers, and townspeople to gather for meals, entertainment, and something to do.

Buffalo Bill Cody himself built the Irma in 1902 and named it after his youngest daughter.
