Tragedy befell the tightly knit community of Franklin when the church was destroyed by a fire in 1900.

In only a year, the church was rebuilt. And, in 1905, the community came together to admire the installation of a collection of spellbinding Tiffany windows.

St. John’s Episcopal Church avoided a second tragedy when a neighboring church caught fire in 1986. The Tiffany windows received some damage, resulting in their restoration.

St. John’s hosts guided tours, by appointment only, to view the church’s collection of Tiffany windows. Guides provide visitors with an overview of the church’s rich history and the Tiffany windows.

Self-guided tours are also welcome during church hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. (Tours, of course, aren’t permitted during services.)
