South Dakota’s veterans deserve the most peaceful, beautiful place when it comes time to lay them to rest. The Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis fits the bill. Soon, this beautiful cemetery will be even larger, allowing for more of our nation’s heroes to be laid to rest here.

The Black Hills National Cemetery was established in 1948. It’s located in Sturgis, at 20901 Pleasant Valley Drive.

In January, 2018, the U.S. Senate passed a bill that provides an additional 200 acres for the Black Hills National Cemetery, effectively tripling its size. This is wonderful news for veterans who wish to be interred here.
