Railroads are a big part of West Virginia’s history, and they were once the backbone of transportation in our state. It comes as no surprise that ghost hunters look to our abandoned railroads to find some remnants of the past that may still linger into the present. This short hike along the North Bend Rail Trail will take you to a seriously spooky tunnel that just may connect you to days gone by.

Start your trip in the little city of Cairo in Ritchie County.
