Although pizza isn’t one of our iconic foods here in Texas, we still take it pretty seriously – and so does Serious Pizza in Dallas. It, along with two other restaurants in the Lone Star State, made Thrillist’s list of the best pizzerias in America’s 35 major cities. Their pies come in all different sizes (up to 30 inches!), and are made New York Style with crispy crust, gooey cheese, and whatever meats and veggies your heart desires. So if you’re as ready to leave the turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes behind until next year as we are, do your taste buds a favor and try out this delicious pizza joint.

With its old-fashioned vibe created by distressed couches, vintage signs, a pool table, and a pinball machine, Serious Pizza fits in just right in the heart of Deep Ellum. And the pizza itself belongs too since it’s Texas-sized!

The pizza is New York Style, so think crispy crust and not too greasy. And topping choices are almost endless. Pepperoni, meat lovers, sausage, BBQ chicken, just plain cheese, or anything in between can be yours.
