Some of the best dining experiences can be found off the beaten path. Here’s a restaurant that serves up the best steak you’ve ever eaten, and it’s well worth the drive.

Montour has fewer than 300 residents, but people come to this little town from all over the state to visit Rube’s Steakhouse. The steakhouse got its start in 1973, and it’s been a hit ever since. It’s located at 118 E. Elm Street.

The skillet potatoes are a favorite here - seasoned to perfection, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.

At Rube’s, you’ll grill your own steak. After you choose your cut off the menu, your steak will go on the grill at your table, and they’ll help you grill it just like you like it.
