Now that fall is in full swing, it’s time to seek out some new spots. Here’s one that is often overlooked. It’s a quaint, charming spot to enjoy an afternoon of strolling, shopping and dining.
Reynolda Village is located right next door to the Wake Forest University Campus. The shops, museum and gardens here were part of the RJ Reynolds estate.

The entire estate encompasses 1,067 acres, and includes the Reynolds’ home, barns, a school, post office, carriage house, cottages and more. All have been restored and now serve as shops, restaurants and a museum.

The Reynolda House Museum of American Art is located in what was once the home of R.J. and Katharine Reynolds. It now houses a nice collection of American art from such artists as Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keefe and Frederic Church.
