As the largest new and used bookstore in the world, this iconic landmark has been claiming the hearts of Oregonians and visitors alike for more than 40 years. With four floors, nine color-coded rooms, and approximately one million books, Powell’s never fails to delight.

Located in downtown Portland, Powell’s City of Books dates back to 1971, when it began in a former used car dealership.
