Some states have big tulip fields that visitors flock to each spring to help welcome in the season. Iowa, though, doesn’t like to take a backseat approach to welcoming spring. Instead of just one tulip field that stretches for acres, we’ve got an entire Tulip Town! That’s right, here in Iowa, we get so sick of winter that when it’s time to bring in the brightest season, we go all out. The entire town of Pella is covered in bright spring blossoms and blooming tulips – as far as the eye can see!

The beautiful town of Pella, Iowa, is one of the best places in the entire world.

The town was founded by Dutch settlers who wanted to recreate a bit of their home, right here in the Midwest.

Needless to say, they were very successful, and visiting Pella is like taking a transatlantic journey!

In fact, the town is so obsessed with tulips, that they even celebrate the flower every year with an enormous festival!

This year, the festival runs from May 3rd to May 5th. Three full days of Dutch heritage and bright, blooming flowers!
