Ms. Lena’s pies come from humble beginnings.
Facebook/Ms Lenas Pie Shop Ms. Lena found her true calling around age 75. In the early nineties, she created a recipe for fried pies and began serving them from an added-on kitchen at her house.
Unfortunately, Ms. Lena is no longer with us but the shop continues to serve the best pies under her daughter and granddaughter’s management.

The recipe nor method hasn’t changed for three generations.

All sorts of foodie groups have shared their love of Ms. Lena’s since then. Southern Foodways included the shop as part of their pie documentary and RoadFood has declared the pies as “legendary.”
No matter who’s endorsing them, Ms. Lena’s pies are downright delicious.

Fried pies are off the menu for now, but don’t let that deter you from trying their perfectly classic pies.
