Walking through a magical field of sunflowers may seem like something straight from a dream, but you can easily make it a reality with a visit to Mitchell Farms in Collins. Each fall, the farm opens to the public, allowing visitors the chance to explore its expansive sunflower field. But the seasonal fun doesn’t end there. The farm also features a pumpkin patch, corn maze, activities, and rides, making it the perfect place for a family outing. Take a look:

Mitchell Farms was first opened in 1960. Now spanning 1,500 acres, it includes a variety of crops, farm animals, and a historic log cabin that dates back over a hundred years.

Usually, the farm is open for tours by appointment only; however, each autumn, it opens to the public for some seasonal fun. One of the highlights of the season is the farm’s sunflower field.

During the fall season, which runs from September 30th to November 5th, admission to the farm is $12. In addition to a visit to the sunflower field, the fee includes a wagon tour of the farm and a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

The admission fee also includes a visit to the corn maze. Spanning a few acres, it’s sure to test your navigational skills.

Several other rides and activities are included with admission. There are also a few rides, such as Pumpkin Express Train Ride, which require an additional fee.
