Many of Utah’s most beautiful small towns are fairly conservative and straight-laced. However, there are a few places here where you can let your hair down, hike, bike and play all day, then relax with a beer and your friends around a campfire. If that’s the definition of the word, “hippie,” then Moab might just be the most “hippie” town in the Beehive State.

With a population of just over 5,000 people, Moab is a small town with big scenery.

Moab is well-known for its artistic community. If nature is a muse, then this is the place to be. You’ll find tons of art galleries here. You can also take art classes at the Moab Arts & Recreation Center to develop your own artistic side.
