Miami is known for all sorts of tourist-friendly attractions. And while they’re always worth the price, admission can be a little steep. That’s why the news of Miami’s brand-new museum is all the more incredible; it’s completely free to enter. The Institute of Contemporary Art opened its doors to the new Miami location on December 1st, 2017 and has made a special commitment to be accessible to all. In a city filled with plenty of art, the Institute of Contemporary Art’s newest museum stands out with its completely free admission.

The privately-funded and privately-built art gallery will also offer free programs to the public.

Ellen Salpeter, the museum director, has stated that the gallery hopes to make art accessible to everyone, not just those who can pay to see it.

The exhibit will showcase works from artists such as Pablo Picasso, Yves Klein and Roy Lichtenstein, along with contemporary artists whose work has never been shown in the U.S.
