But there’s one little-known train park in Fostoria, Ohio you may not know about. The Fostoria Rail Park is a truly special place where you can watch trains pass anytime of day.

Also known as the Iron Triangle, the park is laid out in the shape of a triangle, situated between three railways.

Fostoria, “a city built on rails,” saw several railroads and inter-urban lines pass through town in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Fostoria Rail Park/Facebook These railways included the Chesapeake and Ohio, the Baltimore and Ohio line, the Nickel Plate, the Atlantic and Lake Erie Road, The Tiffin, Fostoria and Eastern Electric Railway, The Toledo, Fostoria and Findlay and The Fostoria and Fremont.

Today, trains continue to pass through town. In fact, more than 120 trains pass through Fostoria each day.

Recent updates have made the park more accessible. Throughout the park, you’ll find plenty of places to sit and take in the views.

During the holiday season, you can even stop by and visit Santa! You’ll find him at the depot at 128 W. North St.
