Since it opened in 1740, Lamie’s Inn has played host to an uncountable number of visitors from all over the country and around the world.

It’s become an unofficial required stop for presidential candidates campaigning in New Hampshire, and in 1963 even hosted President Dwight Eisenhower for two nights (he was visiting his son, who was a student at Philips Exeter at the time.

The whole inn has remained old-fashioned and cozy, with plenty of warm lamps and antique details.
