There’s nothing like Christmas lights to put you in the holiday spirit – but not many of us have the energy or resources to set up a really epic display at our own homes. Get all of the joy without struggling with wires and bulb outages by heading down to the La Salette Shrine in Enfield for their incredible annual display.

The La Salette shrine in Enfield has been lighting up the Upper Valley with its magnificent displays of Christmas lights since the 1950s.

The shrine’s 20 acre hillside property is lit aglow each holiday season, drawing thousands of families who return year after year for the magical display.

You’ll find endless Christmas scenes depicted through lights – it would take hours to examine each piece of the display.

You’ll also find hundreds of nativity scenes among the decorations. La Salette is still home to an active religious order, so this display definitely focuses on the religious holiday rather than commercial Christmas – but whether you are religious or not you can enjoy its beauty.

The display opened the day after Thanksgiving, and it’s lit every evening from 5–9 p.m. until Christmas.

There’s even a gift shop onsite, as well as a small cafeteria where you can get a hot chocolate or caramel apple to enjoy while you admire the magical scene.
