A new report from BusyBee has used data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the American Housing Survey, and the U.S. Census Bureau to rank 40 major American cities on a scale of “filthy” to “not so terrible,” and Jacksonville has come out on top.

The study looked at factors such as trash on the streets, pests, particulate air pollution (i.e. gross stuff in the air), population density and nitrogen dioxide air pollution.

The Sunshine State city scored low in all five categories. Orlando was the runner-up, while Tuscon, Raleigh, Memphis and Oklahoma also ranked among the top five cleanest cities.
And the dirtiest spot? New York City. No surprises there.
