Have you ever wanted to spend the night at one of the most haunted places in the world? Well, this October, Fort Mifflin on Mud Island in Philadelphia is offering the opportunity to sleep with the ghosts! You’ll start with a guided tour and learn about the paranormal investigations that take place at the fort. This event is not for everybody, though; you’ve got to be brave enough to last the night – and at least 18 years old.
Fort Mifflin was commissioned in 1771, and stands on Mud Island in the Delaware River.

It was the site of an important American Revolutionary War battle in 1777, when the British Army bombarded and captured the Fort Mifflin on their way to Philadelphia.

The bombardment was the heaviest in the war, and nearly half of the Americans stationed here died.

During the Civil War, Fort Mifflin was used as a prison for Confederate POWs and the conditions reported here were horrific.
