Some may think it’s biased to say that Wyoming is as close to Heaven on Earth as any of us will get in this lifetime. The fact is, the state is brimming over with ethereal beauty and peaceful places that calm the spirit and the soul.
As for evidence that Paradise exists, it’s hard to argue with photographic proof. Just take a look at these pictures of the Wind River Range. They show that Heaven on Earth actually does exist. It’s breathtaking, and it’s right here in Wyoming.
Heaven is a vast, endless place, certainly bigger than the state of Wyoming. However, if pressed to pick just one spot in the state that is truly Heaven on Earth, the Wind River Range would win, hands-down.

Troy Smith/Flickr Bordered on the west by the Bridger-Teton National Forest and the east by the Shoshone National Forest, the Wind River Range is chock-full of natural, untamed Wyoming splendor. Plus, 19 of the 20 highest mountain peaks in the state happen to be along the Winds, including Gannet Peak, which is the highest in all of Wyoming.
The serenity and stunning beauty of the area speak to outdoorsmen and city-dwellers alike.
