- Hannibal

Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, Hannibal is best know for being the boyhood home of author Mark Twain. Hannibal comes in as the 9th most religious town in the state. 54% of the population has a religious affiliation with 18.5% identifying as Baptist.

Joplin City Government/Facebook Joplin is one of the last towns in Southwest Missouri before entering Kansas or Oklahoma. Joplin is one of the larger towns on this list with a population of just over 50,000. Of that, 55.4% of the population identifies as religious making it the eighth most religious town in Missouri. At 22% the vast majority of those identifying as religious are Baptist.

Marshall may be most well known for a former four legged resident, Jim the Wonder Dog. Marshall comes in as the seventh most religious town in Missouri with 55.7% of the population having a religious affiliation. Of those 55.7%, the majority identify as Baptist.

This farming community with a population of just over 16,000 people is the fourth most religious town in Missouri. 59% of the population has a religious affiliation with the majority identifying as Baptist followed by Catholic.
- Jefferson City

- Sedalia

Sedalia comes in at number two in the ranking of most religious cities in Missouri with 60% of the population having a religious affiliation. The vast majority of the 60% identify as Baptist.
