Christmas has become so commercialized these days – it seems everything is about cheesy songs played on repeat and overpriced, low-quality toys. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Take back the spirit of the season with a visit to a beautifully decorated Victorian mansion, where you’ll remember the real beauty and coziness of Christmas.
The unique Hearthside House, with its stone construction and curved gable roof, was a private residence for over 200 years until it was purchased by the town of Lincoln in 1996. It’s now managed by a nonprofit organization called “Friends of Hearthside,” which organizes all of the house’s amazing holiday celebrations.
