When we say that it’s right next door to the oil refinery, we’re not kidding. Garage on Beck literally sits right in front of the Tesoro Refinery on I-89, north of Capitol Hill.

The first time owner Bob McCarthy saw the building that would become Garage on Beck, it was a sad, dark little bar. But it had a friendly group of regulars, and Bob thought there might be something there to preserve.
