Travel along Interstate 68 and you’ll eventually spot Sideling Hill from afar. As you get closer, it appears that a chunk is cut out of the mountain, and that’s basically correct.

This man-made cut is one of the most impressive rock cuts in the United States. The intricate layers and folds of syncline strata is worth seeing in person.
