The wizarding world of Harry Potter is arriving in Arkansas this month. The first annual DiaCON Alley of the Ozarks will be happening at the Fayetteville Town Center on March 17th, 2018. Wands at the ready as we “Slytherin” to take a peek.

Wizards, witches, and muggles can all attend the epic Harry Potter convention.

Facebook/DiaCON Alley of the Ozarks The one day event will be a Confringo (or explosion for you muggles) of all things magic.

You will be able to find these gluten-free, vanilla cream cheese snitch cakepops at Sister Sucrose’s booth.

Feel like you’re shopping down Diagon Alley for all of your necessary magical supplies.

Facebook/DiaCON Alley of the Ozarks Over 35 vendors will be offering everything from adorably ferocious Monster Book of Monsters plush toys to laser engraved chalices. You’ll also be able to pick up a new wand for your next Harry Potter LARP adventure (live action role play for you muggles).

Show your loyalty to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named with a dark mark from Tattletale Tattoos.

Thankfully, no house elves will be forced to work at this year’s event.

Facebook/Wicked Wood Fired Pizza You can take your galleons and sickles to Wicked Wood Fired Pizza, one of the two food trucks that will be available. They’ll have signature pies like “The Pizza Who Must Not Be named” and “The House Elves’ Day Off.”

You’ll also have the chance to be sorted into your house.

Facebook/Rubylight Candles Different raffles, the costume contest, and magical scavenger hunt will earn you points throughout the day to help earn the house cup.

You can show your house pride with one of Rubylight’s Candles.

After you’ve been sorted and collected plenty of supplies, you can attend one of the “Room of Requirement” panels.

No train rides needed, the magic will be happening at the Fayetteville Town Center on March 17th, 2018.

Since this a convention to only the biggest and most treasured fandom currently in existence, tickets sold out about ten minutes after sales opened. However! It’s good to remember, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light.” So here’s some light for you: the DiaCON Alley of the Ozarks Facebook page is having weekly ticket giveaways up until the event, you just need to follow them. You can also sign up on the waiting list in case more tickets become available. If you’re on the waiting list then you’ll be first in line for next year’s event. You may need to take a sip of Felix Felicis, but the chance of experiencing the wizarding world in Arkansas is possible!
