The restaurant’s owner and head chef is former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Running Back Adrian “Bay” Wright. After his football career ended in 1987, he returned home to West Virginia to take care of his mother and decided to open a barbecue restaurant.

At first, he was just selling barbecue from a food truck before opening DEM 2 Brothers. Today, Wright owns two restaurants and two food trucks. And the crowds never stop coming thanks to consistent favorable ratings on Yelp.com.
