The popular lights display first debuted in 1984 with a mere 10,000 lights. Today, it is York County Department of Parks and Recreation’s largest event each year.

Of course, the man of the season — Santa, himself — will be on hand to meet, take photos with, and listen to the Christmas wishes of visitors.

The park features five heated pavilions to which you can escape to heat up and relax.

Stop by the food court for a light meal or a quick snack. Vendors include Donald Bricker’s Famous French Fries, offering a menu of such favorites as burgers, hot dogs, fries, and nachos. Wash it all down with a hot chocolate, a hot cider, or a coffee.

Visit Christmas Magic at Rocky Ridge County Park through December 31, 2017. The festival of lights welcomes guests Monday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Or, stop by Friday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, $9 for seniors over 59, and $5 for kids between four and 12. Credit cards and checks are not accepted, so bring cash. (An ATM is on site.)
