There’s nothing like getting out into nature to inspire a sense of wonder about the beautiful state we live in. The Gloss Mountains are some of Oklahoma’s most unique jewels, and this hike takes you right to the rim of Cathedral Mountain, where you’ll get a view of some awe-inspiring scenery.
Gloss Mountain State Park is located in Fairview, off U.S. Highway 412 , in the northern-central part of the state.

There’s just one trail at this state park, but it’s one you won’t want to miss. You’ll see the paved trail very clearly from the parking lot - it’s just past the pavilion.

The trail is short - just 1.2 miles, roundtrip - but it’s considered moderate because of the elevation change. You’ll gain almost 150 feet in elevation here.
