Montanans appreciate a day spent by the lake more than most–we happen to have some of the most beautiful bodies of water in the country. But while most flock to Flathead, Seeley or Como during the summer, there are a few lakes that sometimes don’t draw the crowds they could. Bowman Lake is one of them.
Bowman Lake is in Glacier National Park, so it has a lot of “competition” when it comes to stunning scenery.

The lake is located in the North Fork area of Glacier National Park about 32 miles from the west entrance.

The water looks crystal clear on a sunny day, so people love kayaking here.

There’s even a campground on the shore, so you can have waterfront overnight accommodations.
